Tendering Manager Railway (80-100%)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Sales / Tendering Manager for Railway. In this position, you are responsible for the acquisition and working out tenders for turnkey Railway Power Supply System projects from the early pursuit phase until final negotiation, contract signature and handover to the execution team. During preparation, you will lead an interdisciplinary tender
team, which will support you during all technical clarifications and commercial negotiations. For small tenders you will conduct all tender work by yourself.

Tasks:
- Together with the International front-end sales organization, you will identify projects in the early stage, understand customer requirements and follow-up customers during acquisition phase.
- You will work out the sales strategy for the tenders by selecting the winning solution, both commercially and technically.
- You will take over the lead for assigned tenders, where required with the help of interdisciplinary supporting team
consisting of engineering, project management, legal, commercial and supply chain management.
- You will prepare and ensure on-time and complete technical and commercial tender submittal to the customer and lead the technical and commercial negotiations with customers.
- Additionally, you are responsible for the integration of supplier offers, risk evaluation and completeness of tender in multi-national setups.
- Furthermore, you develop a network of customers and suppliers in order to increase market knowledge and ease future business.
- Last but not least you will hand over successful sales projects to the project execution and engineering departments.

Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- In depth professional experience and knowledge of substations / power supply systems sales and tendering.
- Experience of working with railway & urban transportation customers & system integrators. Good knowledge of HV/MV/LV technologies.
- You are proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work with cross-functional and cross-border teams as well as to cope with a flexible-load environment. You are willing to travel approx. 20% of working time.
- You are fluent in English and German with good communication skills. Knowledge of other languages would be advantageous.
