Steam Power Regional Cash Leader - Europe (m/f)

Role Summary/Purpose :
This role reports to the Europe regional CFO, dotted lined to the SPS Billing & Collections Leader. Responsible for partnering with regional operational and finance team to track billing and cash entitlement across the SPS organization. The cash leader will support operational mechanisms and structure to drive visibility to billing entitlement, quality, simplification of processes, collections strategy, as past due reduction.

Essential Responsibilities :
Drives weekly rhythm with the operational teams to track AR, collections and Past Dues for Services & PAC portfolio
Drives weekly rhythm with the operational teams to track billings entitlement & Unbilled for PAC & Services portfolio
Regional superuser for ERP (eg PMx FSCM) collections supporting operational users ensure system is regularly updated and maintained.
Manage multiple aspects of the monthly and quarterly financial closing and reporting processes including holistic Working capital metrics (estimate, pacing, closing, reporting)
Partner cross functions stakeholders to monitor key operating processes Metrics and Systems initiatives
Drive simplification, improvement and systems projects, enhance operations and optimize cash generation efforts
Support B&C leader in providing regular updates to the CFO and Steam leadership team on the business cash performance
Leads quarterly post-mortem discussion w/ the Region and functional leaders to identify further opportunities to improve FCF metrics

Qualifications/Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and strong financial work experience
Previous FP&A or Controllership experience
Significant experience in progressive finance roles
Fluent English mandatory, other European language would be a plus
Experience in an international, big-scaled organization
Experience in a dynamic, matrix organization

Strong expertise and working experience with SAP, Oracle and Hyperion
Ability to understand the contractual T&Cs to ensure factoring eligibility
Ability to work effectively with operation teams to drive results and enable growth
Good understanding of IT and project management skills to drive the required reporting tools

Desired Characteristics :
Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
Knowledge of the Power industry is a plus
GE Financial Management Program (FMP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS) graduate (GE Employees only)
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to analyze complex issues, develop appropriate action plans and delivers the results timely
Ability to lead projects and assignments
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
Proficient use of financial systems and analysis tools including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
