Junior Portfolio Manager (Founder Portfolios)

The Junior Portfolio Manager is an important member of the investment management team, having exposure to all aspects of the investment process. You work alongside industry professionals - the investment team operates on a flat hierarchy and you are expected to take part in all discussions relating to new potential investments. Portfolio administration and monitoring is a substantive part of the job where you are expected to be an inquisitive and proactive self-starter taking responsibility for the tasks at hand.
The Founder portfolio cover the widest array of asset classes (including equity, fixed income, real assets and alternatives) both in private and public markets which are accessed through different channels (including own funds in some niche areas, third party funds and direct investments). You will report to the CIO Founder Portfolios.

Your Challenge
Portfolio Management
- Analysis of investment opportunities,
- Participation in the investment decision process
- Documentation of investment approval process (including document management and set-up of reporting interfaces)
- Liaise with counterparties to obtain answers to additional questions posed and independent follow-up if necessary
- Review of legal documents (with or without using external legal resources)

Coordination, Administration and Monitoring
- Daily contact with our service providers (e.g. banks, administrator, asset manager, professional investors)
- Handling of complex processes (e.g. fund setup or investments) and execution of all tasks and processes of the life-cycle of an investment, specifically
- Execution of transactions (subscriptions, trades) and execution control (prices, fees etc) and independent follow-up if necessary
- Review and monitoring of existing portfolios including projects to improve aspects of the portfolio management
- Independent solution-oriented analysis of portfolio characteristics (i.e. check liquidity profile, check fx exposure on a look through basis etc)
- Interaction with internal and external resources to improve quality and speediness of reporting
- Follow-up on investor requests (special ad-hoc analysis etc)

Your Profile
- Banking apprenticeship with further education or University degree
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of the financial services industry, experience in fund management and/or private banking and/or family office
- Languages: English and German
- Committed to achieve ambitious goals, flexible and reliable personality
- You like to pay attention to details and have high motivation to deliver in a pressured environment
