In order to support the Tournaments & Events Division, FIFA is seeking a proactive and service-oriented

Guest Operations Senior Manager

Your duties
• Defining and developing the implementation strategy, tools and operational plans for seamless provision of event services (e.g. Travel, Transport, Accommodation, Hospitality) to FIFA guest groups at a wide range of events (tournaments, draws and corporate events)
• Ensuring scoping, planning and running of efficient guest operations including the training and management of service providers and required event workforce in close co-operation with concerned internal departments as well as with other relevant external project stakeholders.
• Coordinating and maintaining a strategic overview of all guest operations across all FIFA tournaments and events and agree on the level of cross functional service delivery, operational and budget alignments
• Managing the human and material resources necessary for the task, in conjunction with internal stakeholders as well as with external partners, for the achievement of a successful event implementation
• Defining the relevant customer groups and the relevant levels of services
• Planning and coordinating specific assigned events in accordance with the project outline and defined standards and procedures
• Keeping the project within the defined objectives
• Advising and supporting the Local Organising Committee or agency with regard to the implementation of FIFA guest operations
• Keeping an open understanding and relation with relevant departments in FIFA and where applicable with Governmental agencies within host countries in order to align potential different programmes
• Implementing, wherever necessary, the structure and organisation on site, for short-term and long-term periods
• Responsible for a successful transfer of knowledge and debriefing within the own area by following the set organizational guidelines
• Drafting accurate and timely progress reports
• Attending site visits and inspections

Our requirements
• Extensive relevant work experience in guest operations and event services, including airport, transport, accommodation and security operations; knowledge of its respective methodologies, planning and controlling tools
• Six to eight years’ experience in planning and leading in a guest-related service environment
• Four to six years’ experience of on-the-field event operations experience ideally within a sport/event organisation or in a mega project, preferably a world-class sporting event
• Fluency in English and one more FIFA language required (French, German or Spanish), additional languages a plus
• Strong project management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and high level of diplomacy
• Innovative, efficient and very communicative
• Team player with a high level of accountability
• Willingness to travel occasionally
